Professional Support Lawyer
We are recruiting for a Professional Support Lawyer for our clients firm in Manchester.
12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Summarising case law for inclusion in bulletins or on blog
• Drafting / editing legal articles and legal updates
• Managing (collating and editing) business group legal publications to include:
o Newsletters
o E-shots
o Journal articles
o Case law updates for specific markets / clients
• Assisting with technical aspects of profile raising / business development projects (eg. toolkits and practice guides)
• Assisting with non-chargeable legal research tasks
• Staying up to date with relevant legal and insurance market developments and keeping a database of these
Candidate Requirements:
• Insurance / personal injury background desirable
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work on own initiative; proactive approach to work
• The ability to work as part of a team and independently
• A flexible approach to work is necessary
• Ability to adapt written style to task
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
